It is cold outside, but warm inside.
This past month I was able, through amazing Divine Providence, to bring warmth to 2 Jews in our community, and I’m happy to share the story with you.
Very often I get asked to help fellow Jews who are looking for a new job, a new place to work. As much as I love helping, it is very hard to assist all those asking. Usually, if there is a job offer I know about, it doesn’t fit the job description they are looking for.
About a month ago, at one of our community events, a friend tells me that a position in his company just got vacated and he is looking for someone to fill the spot. This person, however, must fit to very specific conditions. I listen, but I know that, as most of the times, I will not be able to help.
Just as we finish speaking, my phone rings. On the display I see the number of another Jew in our community, whom I don’t speak with very often. Perhaps just before Rosh Hashana or before Pessach. And here he is calling just like that. I answer, and don’t believe my ears. He tells me that due to various circumstances at his current work place, he is looking for a new job and is very worried about what will be… I saw this as Divine Providence, a real sign from heaven and right away connect between the two Jews.
Last night I received an email with a big thank you. They have signed a contract this week and already in the next few days he will start work at his new work place.
This was the second “Shidduch (match)” which I have made in the last two months, where I was able to help another Jew find a new job!
If you have a job to offer to good people who are looking, please get in touch with me. May we always be able to help each other!
Despite the bitter cold outside, Thank G-d, it is warm, very warm inside our homes.
Rivky and the children join me in wishing you Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Chaim
